The French agri-food sector, the country’s leading industrial sector, plays a central role in the national economy.<\/strong> It alone accounts for nearly 17% of GDP, a share that makes it a strategic pillar for both food sovereignty and the economic vitality of local regions. By 2025, this sector will comprise approximately 19,000 companies, the vast majority of which are microbusinesses and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) located throughout France, in both major production hubs and rural areas. Each segment faces its own unique challenges: health and safety requirements, freshness management, raw material price volatility, cost pressures, adapting to consumer trends, the green transition, and technological innovations. <\/p>\n
