Background<\/h1><\/div>

A rapidly growing company needed to adapt its organizational structure<\/strong> to meet rising customer demand, as the current setup was limiting the logistics department\u2019s ability to support the production line in terms of quantity, lead times, and consistency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It would have been a sure thing if:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • More than 50% of the volume<\/strong> could be processed with the same number of employees<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Manual entries<\/strong> were cut in half.<\/li>\n
  • Preparation errors<\/strong> were decreasing, and production stoppages due to a lack of materials<\/strong> were eliminated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

    The process:<\/b><\/h1><\/div>

    • Mapping of the current situation and analysis of the issues encountered.<\/li>\n
    • Collection of the data needed to design the logistics solution.<\/li>\n
    • Design of the “component supermarket” and the new operating model.<\/li>\n
    • Modification of the existing system to support the solution’s deployment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      At the same time<\/b><\/u> : Green Belt training for the Project Manager, and training on the 5 pillars of Lean Management for front-line managers and the Executive Committee to ensure the project\u2019s stability once the consultant leaves.<\/p>\n
