Background<\/h1><\/div>

In the energy sector<\/strong>, one issue at the interface between two operational units involved reserving capacity for maintenance work<\/strong>: Planning that lacked sufficient reliability<\/strong> impacted safety and operational consistency and caused frustration for field teams<\/strong>, both in the lead-up to the work and on the day of the work.<\/p>\n

It would have been a sure thing if:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • The risks associated with working in emergency situations<\/strong> were reduced, thereby improving safety.<\/li>\n
  • The teams fostered a culture of continuous improvement<\/strong> and strengthened collaboration across departments<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

      Field assessment and mapping<\/strong> were conducted between M-3 and J, resulting in the identification of five targeted improvement projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Preparation of the \u201cdeliverable\u201d document<\/strong> for each project.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Short-term projects<\/strong>: regular coordination meetings.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Long-term projects<\/strong>: preparation using milestones, a schedule, and key deliverables.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Defining an annual planning vision<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      A dedicated Kaizen<\/strong> initiative for each topic.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Project completion<\/strong> through the implementation of organizational changes and the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement to be maintained by the Units and Divisions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

        Reducing the risk of errors<\/strong> that affect safety.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
