The utilization of byproducts from crop production is a key driver for developing sustainable livestock production systems<\/strong>. In Senegal, the establishment of a cattle and sheep production facility helps optimize the use of local resources while meeting the food needs of the local population.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Mission Objective<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>

The goal was to make better use of plant byproducts<\/strong> by establishing an animal production facility tailored to the available forage resources and regional dietary habits.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Our Approach<\/strong><\/h3><\/div>

To achieve this goal, we have:<\/p>\n

  • Scale beef and sheep production<\/strong> in line with local forage production;<\/li>\n
  • Developed several development scenarios<\/strong>, taking into account the consumption patterns of Fulani farmers in the region and local constraints;<\/li>\n
  • Proposed a technical and economic model<\/strong> to ensure the workshop\u2019s feasibility and profitability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
