Background<\/h1><\/div>

A French mutual insurance company has been developing a continuous improvement initiative<\/strong> for several years. Within one of its operational divisions, a new role\u2014Continuous Improvement Manager (RAC)\u2014<\/strong> is being piloted tobuild in-house expertise in continuous improvement<\/strong> and provide hands-on support<\/strong> to teams and managers. These managers are key players in rolling out the initiative<\/strong>, helping to implement best managerial practices<\/strong> andengage frontline teams in operational excellence<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

It would have been a sure thing if:<\/p>\n

  • The RAC is becoming self-sufficient in managing construction sites and training programs.<\/li>\n
  • RAC applies A.C.’s practices across all its services and throughout its scope of operations.<\/li>\n
  • The RAC is able to identify areas for improvement and track them over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

      The process mapping and problem-solving workshops<\/strong> are co-facilitated<\/strong> to ensure that operational managers develop their skills and become more self-reliant<\/strong> by the end of the support program.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Management procedures<\/strong> are being implemented for ongoing projects toquickly identify issues<\/strong>, share bottlenecks<\/strong> with higher-level management, and facilitate decision-making.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Finally, the \u201csun\u201d matrix<\/strong> is designed to provide visibility into the implementation of a culture of continuous improvement<\/strong>, the development of a<\/strong> dedicated community<\/strong>, and the monitoring of ongoing projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
