Streamlining crop production on a dairy farm in Morocco to effectively support herd growth and sustainably optimize the business model.

The performance of a large dairy farm depends as much on herd management as on the quality and quantity of its crop production. To support herd growth and improve profitability, it is essential to evaluate existing practices and propose an optimized business model for crop production.

Mission Objective

The objective wasto assess the potential for improving crop production on a 2,500-cow dairy farm spanning 500 ha, in order to support herd expansion and optimize resources.

Our Approach

To achieve this goal, we have:

  • Conducted a technical assessment of crop production and identified areas for improvement;
  • Defined a new business model related to crop production;
  • Proposed an outsourcing strategy that included an impact assessment, terms of reference, and a transition plan to ensure optimized and sustainable production.
