TheAlUla region is undergoing rapid agricultural development, but for local producers to fully benefit from these opportunities, it is essential to have strong and effective organizational structures in place. In this context, the local agricultural cooperative plays a central role in coordinating stakeholders, optimizing resources, and promoting the region’s products.
Mission Objective
Our mission was to develop a restructuring strategy for the cooperative in order to strengthen its ability to meet the needs of local producers and support the sustainable growth of the agricultural sector in AlUla.
Our Approach
To develop a solid roadmap, we took the following steps:
- A historical and organizational assessment of the cooperative, analyzing its strengths, weaknesses, and potential for revitalization;
- Identifying the expectations of local producers to ensure that the cooperative effectively meets their needs and creates shared value;
- The development of a strategic roadmap, including:
- target governance, to clarify roles and responsibilities and improve decision-making,
- the major investments needed to modernize the cooperative’s infrastructure and services,
- the priorities for support aimed at strengthening the organization’s competitiveness and sustainability.
Toward a More Effective and Sustainable Cooperative
This initiative lays the groundwork for a well-structured, efficient agricultural cooperative capable of supporting the local agricultural sector. Through this strategic approach, the AlUla cooperative will be better able to serve its members, facilitate market access, and contribute to the region’s economic and sustainable development.
